PyneCore v6.10.9 released — the AST transform pipeline is roughly twice as fast, and its…

Performance

  • Transform time roughly halved on 120 real-world scripts (about 34 s -> 16 s), with byte-identical emitted code
  • Several transform rules now run in one fused traversal; PYNE_AST_TIMING=1 prints per-step timings

Fixes

  • Cached bytecode is now invalidated when a library function starts or stops keeping state, and when runtime helper interfaces change
  • A module’s interface is baked into its own .pyc; the .pynetypes.json artifact and PYNE_TYPE_ARTIFACT are gone
  • Pyne code that spells a transform-generated name (e.g. __state__) is rejected with a SyntaxError instead of silently colliding
  • The TYPE_CHECKING stripper resolves aliases by scope and handles nested guards
  • Broker: a cancel probe that failed in transport no longer counts towards the halt
